Time for Thanksgiving!

Time to share the wonderful times that we had this past Thanksgiving. It all began early morning thanksgiving day with a 1st annual turkeybowl for our ward and neighborhood. We had a wonderful turnout, with the added bonus of having Tim, Kevin, and Joe join in the fun! My do I have some talented sons! The only injury of the event was a broken finger tip on one of the dad's, so we didn't do so badly.

After the game, Kevin and Nicole hit the bed and got some rest, while Katie, Tim, and Marcus headed down to Utah Valley to get ready for their Snowbird Thanksgiving feast. Kevin and Nicole got cleaned up and joined them after their nap.

Rhonda prepare a wonderful feast with Turkey, Stuffing, Candied Yams, Olives, Rolls, and a special drink made from sherbit and spirit. We had a house full with Jenny, Jon, and Autumn, Joe, Monica, Megan, and Josie, - Jason and his friend Steph and her 3 children. It was a great time. After dinner, we played phase 10... Unfortunately I came in a close second to Joe. You should have seen him jump around after winning... Can you say competitive....

That evening Emma and Kelsey stopped by for a visit. It was fun to see them... Unfortunately for them, most of all the feast had been sent home with others, so we feed them some pumpkin pie. Rhonda made that as well, and it turned out fantastic.

Friday it was back to work for me at least for most of the day. After work, Rhonda and I loaded up the ATV and headed down to Ephriam, to visit Grandpa and Grandma Tew. Kevin and Nicole, and Gary and Kelly came down that night as well. We had a nice visit then off to bed we went. 7:00 am we, Gary, Kevin, Nicole, and I were standing in the Christmas Tree Tag line at the mouth of Ephriam Canyon. It was pretty warm... about 7 degrees... brrrrrrrrr! Kevin and Nicole were not as prepared as they will be next year! Finally 9:00am rolled around and we were able to get the tags.

Grandpa Tew with a few helpers prepared some great pancakes, bacon, and eggs for breakfast... Then back on the mountain the kids went in search for the perfect tree... Rhonda and I loaded up on the ATV and went for a ride and met up with them. They were all sucessful at finding beautiful trees... the best I've seen come off the mountain in years. It was a great day on the mountain.

Katie, Tim, and Marcus came Saturday evening, as well as Emma and her friend Kelsey. We decided to go and get some dinner and then visit Temple square to see the lights... It was a cool evening, but the lights were wonderful... Marcus and I spent most of the time together... He's such a wonderful little guy! I'm going to attach a few pictures below.

Sunday, we all went to our ward together. I was previledged to sing in a quartet during sacrament. It was good to sing again. People seemed to enjoy the song. Now all we need to do it get Rhonda to share her wonderful singing talent. Been working on that one for a while.

After church, Katie, Tim, and Marcus loaded up after having some lunch and headed home. Sunday afternoon, I sat in the living room, in the quiet and just thought... what a wonderful few days it had been. So full! I love all my family!
