Hello everyone! Just wanted to stop in an give you an update of what's been going on at the Tew's house lately! I decided to try my hand and big game hunting at the suggestion of a friend of mine! Yupp... I got my Elk hunting license, Rhonda and I loaded up the 4 wheeler and trailer, and off we went for a 4 day adventure in the Mountains above Vernal Utah... A beautiful place, as the pictures below can attest!! Have a look!!
We left Salt Lake, early Wednesday afternoon October 1st and headed down to Vernal. Thursday and Friday, the weather was perfect! The morning of the hunt, Saturday, we woke to snow... It then continued to rain all that day! So we did our best to get out there and find the big one!! But come to find out, that Elk don't much like the rain either, so they find the thickest trees, and bed down till it stops!! So we walked and walked... climbing over trees, up and down valleys, without much success!! To make a long story short... we didn't get anything but cold and wet!! It was fun though! Nothing like sitting around the fire at night... just watching the flames!!! We even had a couple video nights where I brought a projector, laptop, and soundsystem and blew the crowd away!! It was a blast!!!

These trees were so thick that you could hardly get through them! It was so cool!! I even got lost for a few minutes because it was so thick, it was way easy to loose your bearings. I wasn't worried, but by the time I got back to camp... well everyone else was, and they were just about to send out a search party. Rhonda was very upset... but it all turned out fine, because here I am adding to this blog!!
The very next Monday, I got on a plane and headed down to Fort Lauderdale for 3 days of meetings... great food in the evenings, and got to put my foot in the water of the Atlantic ocean! The water was so warm!! Probably around 80. I could live there!!!
Well, it's getting late! Hope you enjoyed this brief update!! Rhonda, Emma, little Emery, Toby, Sassy, and Picabo send their love!

Good times were had, that's obvious. As for wanting to live in Florida--you should go there in the summer! The humidity is a killer and you can never go outside without having all of your energy completely zapped out of you. Other than that, it is indeed beautiful. We're in Boise today--going to have dinner with the nieces and nephews, including Katie and family. Our trip to Coeur D'Alene, Seattle, and Portland has been wonderful. You'll have to check our blog in a few days for some photos.
Hmmm. I guess I should have changed my blogger name before I sent off my comment. I'm not sure how I do it, but it was me, Susan.
