Most recently, as in last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we had the opportunity to spend time with the extended Tew family at Santaquin Park. Rhonda and I loaded our Trailer with all the wonderful things that you can take when you have a nice and comfy place to sleep... You know good food, since there's a fridge, good movies since there's a TV, good reading since there's quiet, good games since there's a good number of fun people to play them. It was a great turnout... I set up and outside theater and we watched a movie Thursday night... Perfect night for it.
Grandma and Grandpa Tew were there with their trailer... It's getting harder and harder for Grandpa due to Grandma's condition. He did a wonderful job, and all the family were glad they were there!
I lost my digital camera on a bike trip the previous week, so I don't have any photos to share right now. I hope that next year we can get even more kids to come. Gary came all the way to Santaquin on his bike, but for some reason wasn't able to find the park... It was my 50th birthday and it would have been great to see him!!
Speaking of B-days, I did infact turn 50. While we were gone, Emma bought some fun decorations and had the kitchen decorated all in "Over the Hill" stuff... she did a masterful job!! We took some photo on a desposible camera, but you know how long it takes to get those developed!! Anyway, I'm on the down hill side of age... half way to 100...
The week before the reunion, I rode with a small group of bikes to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and San Franciso... all in a mater of 4 days!! It was a blast, but way hard, and way hot, especially when I ran out of gas 6 miles short of the next gas station... We took the highway 50 out through Nevada... talk about nothing ... there's nothing for miles and miles and miles!!! I'm glad I made the trip... proved a couple things to me... When you're tired, you can't stop when you're with a group... when you're tired you can keep going and going and going... Not bad since the next oldest fellow was 15 years younger than me... I had some amazing pictures of the trip, but unfortunately that are most likely in pieces somewhere between Wendover and Salt Lake... Dang!! Here are a couple pictures from one of the guys camera's...
We actually rode our bikes down Lombard (not sure if that's the right name) street in San Fran... pretty wild, and I can't say that I'd do it again... these bikes are pretty heavy!! But we did it!!
Some other wonderful things that are going on in our lives are that Katie is having Twins, and she found out that they will most likely be little boys. She's so excited!!! And we are so happy to have more grandbaby's!! Emma is also going to have a baby and she's having a little girl! So the family continues to grow and we are thankful for all our blessings. Life truely is full of adventure and wonder! Until next time!!
